We are having our second child and could not be happier. With the positive pregnancy test comes a host of changes in products I use in and on my body.
The first change I used was my prenatal vitamin. I was using the Costco version and decided I wanted to step up my game. I used the Costco prenatal for the babe pictured above, and he turned out cuter than a button, but I thought maybe I could be doing more for myself and my baby. I am a little older now(31), and my eating, let’s be honest, lacks in nutrition when I get busy at work.
I switched from Costco’s version to
- New Chapter Perfect Prenatal Vitamins

I prefer the New Chapter even though you have to take three a day instead of one.
Another area of concern was my facial products. When I’m not pregnant I’m all about the use of chemicals to make my face look more youthful. With babe, I tone it down and let my natural beauty show. Previously, I was using Retinol, Salicylic Acid, and an array of other things to brighten, tighten, and tone my skin. With baby on board, I try to limit exposure to those things. All of this is personal preference of course, and I suggest you talk with your doctor when switching up your regimen. What I’m currently using:
- Acure Cleansing CrĆØme. This is a creamy, minty facial cleanser that leaves my skin clean without feeling dried out.

2. Sibu Sea Buckthorn Exfoliating Scrub
3. Mary Kay

This is a clay mask that smooths and pulls any underlying problems out of your skin.
4. Acure Moroccan Argan Oil

The last step in my routine has been this oil. My skin has been so dry this pregnancy, and my skin drinks this stuff up.
I love these products. Most of them are organic and vegan. I am confident that they are not disrupting baby’s growth. The skin is your body’s largest organ. I try to be conscious of what I am using when I’m pregnant. Even when I’m not pregnant I will continue to use these products with the addition of some other products. I hope this helps to navigate the beauty world while pregnant. With so many different products and ingredients, the ones listed above are a go-to for basic skin care.

Love this! Iāve been cleaning up my skincare and makeup tooāespecially since pregnant with #3 (and still now while nursing him)! Means so much to be able to do our best for our little ones, and ourselves. Whatās your fave scent of the Argan oil? Xo

Bethany, thanks for the comment! Every little bit helps. Coconut is my favorite so far.
